Because of the Revolution in 1959, no American cars have been brought to Cuba since that time. Therefore, all of the cars in the country, with the exception of Ladas which have come in from Russia, are cars which are at least 25 years old! It's a real tribute to their mechanical ingenuity that the cars are kept in such fine running condition.
